What in your mind the best quality casting fishing reel long?
I am looking for a long news reel for surf casting and fishing to start drum platforms off the docks.
To raise the drum 250 Penn Squidder platforms. For casting plugs Buck tails, and other artificial baits in the waves, can never go wrong with the Penn 525 Mag and Shimano Calcutta 400S or 400BSV. He changed course in Calcutta with ABEC 7 bearings. The sweetness and the distance of my models have improved much., with the change. I use 17 to 20 pounds. single test. heavier lines tend to stop the merger. With the 250 I use Penn 11ft heavy action. stem. The Penn 525 is paired with a 11ft. Custom Toolbar Conoflex a British white (very good for casting long distances.) The Calcutta combined with 8-foot heavy action. Lamiglas reel, good for fishing bucktails and rubber worms and walk the dog.
